Snow in tropical Vietnam

We all know that Vietnam is a tropical country and tourists often image of sunshine and bright scene when travelling to Vietnam. But they must be surprise to discover that some parts of Vietnam can be covered under thick snow in the winter. And if you are curious about how the cold snow in a hot country, below is vivid illustration.

Residents in Vietnam northern provinces had experienced freezing temperatures in 2015 winter, some higher destination such as Sapa, Mau Son (Lao Cai) had been hit by the coldest spell of the winter-spring season the same period. 

Temperatures dropped to minus 2.5   degrees Celsius atop Mau Son Mountain in Lang Son Province, which is typically the first locality in Vietnam to experience the weather ice phenomenon.

Many visitors from Hanoi and elsewhere scrambled on treacherous winding paths leading to the mountain peak for a taste and snapshots of the ice.
