The market fair, held every Sunday in Dong Van district in the northern province of Ha Giang, is now hundreds of years old.

Early in the morning local residents gather here to trade agricultural products, including corn, potatoes, vegetables and wines.

It is the cattle market of the Mong ethnic people, who consider buffalos and bulls as the most important assets in every family to support the community’s agricultural production.
