The national flag tower is on the top of 1,700m high Lung Cu Mountain, in Dong Van district in the northeastern province of Ha Giang
The new flag tower, built in 2010, is 29.5m tall, which is 10 metres taller than the old flag tower. 283 steps lead up to the tower
At the base of the flag tower are six reliefs, portraying the daily lives of ethnic minoty groups in the Dong Van Stone Plateau
