A photo contest themed ‘Discovering the Red River Delta Civilization’ has been launched in Hanoi, as part of the activities in connection with the National Tourism Year – Red River Delta 2013 aims to introduce the life, culture, people, landscape of the provinces in the Red River Delta, promoting regional tourism in particular and Viet Nam in general.

Entries must feature the beauty of nature, landscape and people, as well as socio-economic development and the cultural lives of local people in the region.

The Photo contest and National Photo Exhibition will be significant activities to support National Tourism Year of the Red River Delta – Hai Phong 2013. This event will contribute to boosting the promotion of image of Viet Nam to international tourists.

The photo contest also offers an opportunity for amateur and professional photographers to demonstrate their talents and exchange their experiences.

Entries should be sent to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition at

38 Cao Ba Quat Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi by the deadline, June 28.

An exhibition of the award-winning photos is expected to be held in Hai Phong this August.

The contest, jointly organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Association of Photographic Artists, as well as the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
