Silver waterfall - the jewelry of Sapa

If Sapa were a beautiful girl, Silver Waterfall would be her silver necklace: It makes her brighter, it makes her more beautiful.

Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac) in Lao Cai lies beside National Highway No.4D, about 12 km from Sapa Town’s center toward Lai Chau Province. This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam.

The scenery along the way from Sapa town's center to the waterfall, the pine forest spread over the hill. Silver Waterfall is formed by sources of water from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. From the distance, the waterfall looks like a white dragon looking down from the sky. You can reach the Silver Waterfall by motor bike or by car in half an hour. From there you can see stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the last forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park.

Heaven Gate and Silver Waterfall are among the most famous sightseeing places in Sapa. The stretch of road that you ride from Sapa to those locations also has the most beautiful view in Vietnam. Nice chance to enjoy your bird-eyes view of the picturesque valleys and grandiose mountains.

There is a very interesting biking trip to Silver Waterfall: You will commence your trip by a transfer uphill to Heaven Gate (Tram Ton Pass), the highest pass of Vietnam, from where you can have a breathtaking view over the Binh Lu valley. On the way, you will take a short walk to visit Silver Waterfall to have a magnificent view down to Muong Hoa valley. You will then get on your bike from the highest stretch on the road and start descending into the Sapa valley, observing the fantastic scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. You will ride through O Quy Ho village in which the villagers grow many vegetables along hill sides, and then be in the middle of a forest road shadowed by pines and other trees. Your trip will end in Sapa town.
