If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the cities, then the quiet beach town of Vung Tau is a perfect getaway.

Vung Tau is a famous beach resort near Ho Chi Minh City. It's very popular with tourist in Vietnam Tourism, especially on weekends or public holidays. Vung Tau is an ideal town to go partying as it is full of sun, sand, surf, good food, beer... But the fun in Vung Tau doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. Some even argue that that’s when it starts.

The beach road is full of cafes, pool halls, and places where you can simply rent a beach chair and relax. It is quite good. Other places worth seeing in this town are the Whale Temple and the Goddess of mercy or the Guan Yin Temple.

Vung Tau Beach Club is very interesting. It's here you can arrange kite surfing or windsurfing lessons and equipment hire. On Saturday and Sunday nights the racetrack opens - not horses, but dogs. Food and drinks are available, and with betting starting with a small amounts of money, there's no need to worry about losing the house either.
