One more world silver bronze for Vietnam’s gymnastics

After the gold medal of Phan Thi Ha Thanh, young gymnast Le Thanh Phuong won a world silver bronze for Vietnam at the Challenge Cup held in Doha, Qatar last week.

This is the 3rd international tournament in 2013 after the competitions in France and Germany.

 
One more world silver bronze for Vietnam’s gymnastics

The event took place from March 27 to 29 at the Aspire Stadium, Doha, Qatar, with the participation of three male athletes and 48 female athletes from 30 countries. Vietnam had six representatives at the tournament, including: Phan Thi Ha Thanh, Do Thi Thu Huyen, Do Thi Van Anh (female), Hoang Cuong, Le Thanh Phuong and Dinh Phuong Thanh (male).

Of these players, only Ha Thanh and Hoang Cuong are highly appreciated. The rest are young, inexperienced gymnasts. After Phan Thi Ha Thanh won a gold medal in the women’s vault, young athlete Le Thanh Phuong of HCM City won a silver medal for the men’s vault. At the three Challenge Cups in March 2013, Vietnamese athletes won two gold and two silver medals, including a gold and a silver medal by Nguyen Ha Thanh, a gold medal by Phan Thi Ha Thanh and a silver medal by Le Thanh Phuong.
