Don Hong Oai, a Chinese photographer but having spent most of his time living in Vietnam, has taken the beautiful photos of the scenery and the people of Vietnam as water-color paintings.

This talent photographer was born in 1929 in Guangdong, China, but he came to Vietnam and has lived there since the age of seven. He has spent of his time living there.

At the young age, he lived in former Saigon (Hochiminh City now) and studied at photography studio.

He used to travel around Vietnam to take the photos of its scenery and people. Before moving to California in 1979, Don lived and experienced the two wars of resistance against the French and American in Vietnam. Occasionally, he has returned to Vietnam and China to take new photos.

A unique photographic technique is used to make his photos as water-color paintings. With this technique, he has become one of the most famous photographers in the world and has won hundreds of awards given by photographic organizations throughout Asia and photo competitions organized by Kodak and Nikon.
