The final round of Miss Vietnam 2012 pageant will be hosted in the central city of Da Nang this August.

Miss Vietnam is the biggest national beauty contest which is held every two years to choose the representative of Vietnam at international pageant.

Having permission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tien Phong newspaper and Danang authorities will jointly hold the pageant this year.

Despites of being the hometown of Miss Vietnam 2008 Nguyen Thuy Dung, this is the first time Danang city is chosen to be the host of the national beauty .

Because Danang is one of the most famous tourism Vietnamese cities, selecting this central city to be the location of Miss Vietnam 2012 will contribute to advertising Vietnam’s tourism.   

In April, the candidates from every place of the country will be qualified in the first round, according to Tien Phong newspaper, and the best ones will be selected to go to Danang after the semi-final round took place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
