HCM City hosts classical music nights

Three nights of Beethoven’s best known pieces will be displayed for classical music lovers in Ho Chi Minh City from June 24-27.  

The highlight of the concerts will Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1 along with Rice Field by Do Kien Cuong, Mendelssonhn’s Violin Concerto in E minor and a Tuba Concerto by Vaugan Williams.

It has taken over a year to prepare for the concert, which will be conducted by Do Kien Cuong, who completed his M.A in the US and is also well known for his live show Rock Symphony.

Vietnamese violist Duong Minh Chinh and the Republic of Korea’s tuba player Kim Yoen Jin will also perform with the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra.
