Deputy Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Council’s Committee Nguyen Duc Long has welcomed and worked with Chilean high-ranking Senate delegation led by Chilean Senate President Guido Girardin Lavin in Ha Long city on March 1.

Deputy Secretary Long expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to Quang Ninh province. At the reception, he shared with the delegation an overview of socio-economic situation, geographical location, as well as results of the Quang Ninh Investment Promotion Conference 2012. He said that with its particular potentials, Quang Ninh prioritizes and calls for investment in the fields of tourism, coal exploitation technology and environmental protection of Ha Long Bay.

Senate President Lavin affirmed that the visit aims to tighten the friendship between the Chilean Senate in particular and its parliament in general with the Vietnamese National Assembly and Quang Ninh province. He stated that in this visit to Vietnam, Chile and Vietnam will sign a cooperation agreement. Chile will also cooperate and exchange experiences with Quang Ninh especially in mine exploitation, tourism, agriculture, biology, aquaculture etc.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Long highly appreciated the Chilean delegation’s cooperation suggestions and stressed that with willingness of the two sides, he believed in a successful cooperation. On the same day, the Chilean Senate President and his entourage visited Ha Long Bay, then returned to Ha Noi to continue their working visit in Vietnam.

This is a great opportunity for Quang Ninh and also Vietnam's tourism!
