The festival contributes to make up new, special, breakthrough impressive feature for Hai Phong tourism and is also one of the programs to activate National Tourism Year 2013 which will be held in the Flower city.

According to plan, many cultural, art programs will be taken placed in Red Flamboyant festival, including photo, picture contests about flamboyant; “Miss Hai Phong” competition; Hai Phong Flamboyant Trading-Tourism Festival 2012; order art performance and bike parade on “Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Street”; opening ceremony of demo walking street, tourism night market; the forth City Unicorn-Lion-Dragon festival, etc…

The Vice Direction of Hai Phong Culture, Sport and Tourism Department Nguyen Anh Tuan said that red flamboyant has been the symbol of Hai Phong city for a long time. The flower has appeared in poems, songs, paintings, deeply come in mind of every generation of Hai Phong residents.

The Red Flamboyant Festival is a very good, creative idea which is a unique tourism product of Hai Phong. The festival will become annual event of the city. As well as planning for the festival, Hai Phong is also urgently preparing infrastructure and other works to welcome the event National Tourism Year in Red River Delta – Hai Phong 2013.

This is a chance for Hai Phong to present, advertise the image, potentiality of the city; also to widen the relationships, improve investment, trading, and tourism nationally and internationally.
