For most Vietnamese living in France, the 11th National Party Congress is an important political event. Over the past few days, they have closely followed all activities related to the congress.
The Vietnamese community expressed their hope that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), set targets for socio-economic development until 2020 will be fulfilled.
Professor Ngo Manh Lan
Professor Ngo Manh Lan who lives on the outskirt of Paris, describes the congress as an important milestone in the history of national development as it takes place in the context of the world’s growing fast and getting out of the economic, politic and social crisis.
He expressed his hope that the CPV will devise proper policies to overcome challenges and keep pace with the global situation.
Many members of the Vietnamese Residents Association in France followed the Party Congress with keen interest via the Internet, VTV4 and mass media.

The association’s president Therese Nguyen Van Ky says that the Vietnamese residents in France hope that the congress will encourage more overseas Vietnamese to contribute to the cause of national development.
