A Vietnam-Korea week will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from December 18-25 to mark the 17th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The most impressive event will be a concert at the Hanoi National Conference Centre to be broadcasted live on Vietnam’s VTV3 and the Republic of Korea’s Ariang channels. SNSD/Girl’s Generation, boys band U-Kiss and singer Son Ho Young will perform alongside Vietnamese singers My Linh and Dam Vinh Hung.

8 of the newest Korean movies including “My girl friend is an Agent” and “Speedy Scandal” will be screened in Vietnam. The movies’ stars Kim Ha Neul and Kang Ji Kwan and director Yang Sung Uk will visit Ho Chi Minh City to meet Vietnamese fans on December 18.

A photo exhibition on the friendship between the two countries, a football match between Korean’s FC Posco and Vietnam’s national squad and a Korean culinary week to introduce the country’s gastronomy to Vietnam will also be held during the week.

Other highlights of the week will include forums on economic development and communications, a job bazaar and an educational exhibition.
