Quite simply, the Park Hyatt is Saigon's best hotel. Opened in 2005, the Saigon Park Hyatt was a decade in the making and it was certainly worth the wait.
Everything from the wooden plantation shutters to the silky ao dais and the subdued Vietnamese art simply ooze elegance and class. The gleaming ivory 10-storey hotel melds classic French colonial styles with the atmosphere of a Vietnamese residence, and you're but a short walk from both Saigon's many attractions and it's vibrant nightlife.
The sophisticated rooms are immaculate throughout -- tastefully furnished with lovely faux antique desks, firm comfortable lounges, and bedding so lush you could happily snuggle the day away. Other facilities include large flat screen TVs, in-room safe, complimentary tea and coffee and mini-bar.
Fresh lotus leafs and a flourish of style are evident throughout the rooms, including decorative pillows with earthen prints and simple yet fine art. The majority of the rooms are superiors, with only nine Deluxe rooms. Staff are outstanding. If the Hyatt is in your budget, look no further -- though be sure to look out for an internet rate.
